Beginning with a little egg, it tells the story of the life of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. On the way the hungry caterpillar eats fruit in the week until Saturday, when he eats lots and lots of different foods. It is a great story for recognizing foods, as well as counting and learning the days of the week. What I like most about the book is the illustrations, which really help bring the story to life!
