Our Children
Tutor Time® families come from all over the world. Their varied
backgrounds, languages and cultures combine to create a truly
International Nursery and Kindergarten resulting in Tutor Time®
graduates that have a deep sense of acceptance of others, confidence
in themselves and are prepared for the diverse community that
is our world. Although some of our graduates attend Chinese Traditional
Primary Schools, a greater majority attend the International Primary
Schools of their choice including, but not limited to, Chinese
International School, ESF (English Schools Foundation), German
Swiss International School, Canadian International School and
many more. Because Tutor Time® students immerse themselves in
a Bi-lingual English and Mandarin program based on preparing the
"Whole Child" and administered in a combined teacher
directed and child directed setting, they are well equipped for
the interviews and resulting primary schools that they will attend
after Tutor Time®.

Testimonials of Our Parents
| Chiara (4) is the third of our children to attend the Tutor Time campus at Red Hill. Like her two sisters she started in Nursery, 5 days a week. It did not take her long to get used to the new environment and actually appeared bored when (alone) at home. Her English developed rapidly and Mandarin seemed to be pure fun. When she graduated to K1 we decided to let her attend the afternoon sessions as well. While a 6-hour day plus lunch break appears to be quite long for a child that age (she was only 3 back then), Chiara seemed to fully enjoy her time there. Of course, the transition to the full day was a bit hard at first, but her teachers did their best to accommodate her whenever she felt tired or simply wanted to go home to cuddle with mummy. Now, two years later at the end of K2, she continues to surprise us with all different kinds of artwork, a huge repertoire of English and Chinese songs, a sheer endless stock of knowledge bites (“do you know that Pluto is not a planet anymore?”), an increasing interest in books (she loves to “read”) and a very open and curious mind. She speaks English as if it was her mother tongue (we are German and speak German at home), follows Chinese stories and sings Chinese songs with lots of enthusiasm. Sometimes she surprises even her older (Mandarin speaking) sisters by helping them out when they don’t know a particular expression in Chinese.
The center is well-managed. The teachers are fun and very well trained. It’s obvious they like their work and love to work with children. The children learn about their world in many creative ways: through art work, stories, songs, games, and, yes, even school-like practice exercises.
In short, I am very happy with Tutor Time and can only recommend it. It seems to be both a great place for children and an effective preparation for school. All my daughters were accepted at GSIS on their first attempt.

| I have to say I feel so grateful to Tutor Time for helping my son, Aston Hui, to grow and improve all these times while he was studying inside the school. And with no doubt, I will recommend Tutor Time to other parents as I truly believe children will benefit from the excellent and warm learning environment provided by Tutor Time.
My son Aston was actually a really shy boy before he started his play group in Tutor Time at the age of 2. Not only he resisted chatting with adults except his own parents, but also it took us a lot of time and effort to encourage him to communicate with cousins at his age. That’s why when my husband and I had made the decision of sending Aston to the play group in Tutor Times, I was actually a bit worried that he would not be able to get along well with others, especially he was crying for a long time when he was sent to Tutor Time at the very beginning.
However, thanks to the caring and forbearing teachers in Tutor Time, especially Aston’s class teacher, Ms. Connie, with all their encouragement and patience, Aston has gradually adapted to his play group and even made some new friends eventually. He went home with a smile on his face and was so enthusiastic to share his school life with us. I was so thrilled to see what a lot of progress he has made, which is not only about social skills, but also language ability and intellectual development.
I sincerely hope Tutor Time can continue to grow with its genuine concerns for students and help more kids to find their way.

| Our son Vanko was 2.3 years old when he joined the Tutor Time Nursery class. Nine months later, Vanko continues to benefit from Tutor Time’s mix of values, ideas, rules and procedures which provide security and clarity of expectations balanced with the encouragement of playfulness, inquisitiveness and self-reliance.
Guided by wonderful, supportive and hard-working educators in a happy atmosphere, Vanko has developed trilingual abilities: he comes home singing a different songs, especially in Mandarin, a subject in which he expresses great interest. He always treasures the creative artwork he has produced at school. We can enjoy watching on real time CCTV Vanko’s increasing confidence in the classroom as he plays or works within a group setting.
Vanko is always very excited by Tutor Time’s many special event days. On Fun Friday, children are encouraged to dress up. For example, on ‘Around the World Day’, they put on the costume of a particular country and were introduced to that country’s customs and traditions. At the Christmas concert, Vanko performed with confidence in front of 100+ other parents. There are Mother’s and Father’s Day parties and ‘Guest Surprise’ Days, when parents have the opportunity to participate in the classroom without their children’s prior knowledge.
We look forward to Vanko’s next developmental stage in K1 this coming September.

| Our son Oliver joined Tutor Time Braemar Hill in their Nursery class in September 2009 at just over 2 years old. He adjusted quickly and loves going to Tutor Time. We have been impressed by the enthusiasm and passion of his teachers and appreciate the warm and caring environment in which they inspire the children to learn, encourage their curiosity and develop their various abilities.
Oliver’s language development has been amazing over the past year, particularly Putonghua (his second language) which he mostly understands and frequently uses to ask questions and make observations. With an English/Putonghua education in mind, we believe we made the right decision to send him to Tutor Time.
Most importantly, Oliver is happy at Tutor Time, which we believe is key to inspire a love of learning at this early stage of his life.
Oliver’s 10 month-old brother Joshua will commence Playgroup at Tutor Time in September and we expect that he will enjoy it as much as Oliver has over the past year.

| Our
son is going to go to graduate from Tutor Time® after spending
4 years since Tag Class. It is truly happy and loving place
to learn for my son. Tutor Time® has met all our requirements
and we have been satisfied with Tutor Time®.
As first all the facility and environment is wonderful.
Classrooms are clean and light. There is enough space for
kids' activities. And it is located in fresh air.
Teachers & staff are friendly and refer to children
by name and truly know them. It really felt like they were
one big family. Because of this pleasant atmosphere, not
only children but also parents are closer and we (parents)
have got our own friends through Tutor Time®.
We are confident of our child's ability to apply the wonderful
skill & behavior he has developed in Tutor Time®. He
has grown not only academically but also emotionally. He
has become much more self-confident and begins to express
himself more and more. I believe kids express themselves
freely in the class and respect each other.
Thank you very much!

| Cherie
has been with Tutor Time® since she was 9 months old. During
her time at Tutor Time® we have seen her growing to be an
independent child able to socialize well. Sharing, being polite
and well mannered are some of the things she accomplished
from Tutor Time® but most of all is seeing her "happy
face" every time we pick her up from school. With this
we can also see the same results with her younger brother
who is currently attending K1. Learning English and Mandarin
has given her a good foundation and prepared her well for
Primary School. I am glad she did not have to take extra
English/ Mandarin classes while in Primary 1. Even in Primary
1, Cherie likes to visit Tutor Time® and meet her ex-teachers
with a big high five!!
Working with others in group projects and solving problems
are another aspect achieved during her final year in K3.
This has a great influence in her Primary School where she
is able to listen and learn from others in group work and
has no problem participating.
Overall we are very happy with Tutor Time® and knew from
the start it was the right school as Cherie instantly felt
comfortable with it and at least did not scream or run away!

When
we first arrived in HK my son Jesse (3,5) and daugther Amelie
(2) did not speak any English let alone Mandarin. We are native
Dutch speakers and speak Dutch at home. The second week we
were in HK, Jesse and Amelie started at Tutor Time?5 mornings
per week.We found it really amazing how fast our kids picked
up both languages at the same time. Their brains are like
sponges. Within 3 months they understood and spoke English.
Now, after 6 months not only do they understand Mandarin,
they also are able to speak it. Of course their English will
be more fluent, as they speak English after school hours (with
friends etc). But whenever the Mandarin teacher asks questions,
they are able to answer in Mandarin.
We are very happy with our decision for the bi-lingual school
program of Tutor Time® Our kids learn 2 languages without
even realizing this. The way of teaching is very professional
and my kids love going to school everyday. It is a truly inspiring
and challenging environment for them.
As we are the only Dutch family at the moment, I must admit
that I had my concerns at first. Why would we have our kids
learning 3 languages at the same time? The move from our country
to Hong Kong is already a big transition, etc. However, the
way in which the school teachers helped my kids and made them
feel at home from day 1 took all my concerns away. It appeared
that Tutor Time® school is loaded with kids that speak/learn
3 languages! I also expected that the Dutch vocabulary of
my kids would not really improve as they are learning 3 languages.
This is not at all the case, their Dutch vocabulary is still
increasing all the time.

| It
was 1st February, 2005, the first day of school for my two
lovely daughters in Tutor Time® Sabrina was 2 Years old. She
studied in Nursery. With the warm welcoming by Ms Nikki, she
went into the classroom by herself without tears and forgot
to say goodbye to me. Karen was 4 years old; she acted like
a donkey and climbed up to Mr. Cory's shoulder. I could not
believe my two girls were so active and so happy when they
first came to this kindergarten. Two years is over, Karen
has gone to primary one in a private independent school.
My very first impression to Tutor Time® International Kindergarten
is a school for fun only but I over look the school's curriculum
and their small size classes. The school program is well
designed and the teachers are very patience to every student.
In every class, there must be one class teacher and two
subject teachers (English and Mandarin). Karen first entered
into this school, she had difficulty in writing Chinese
and could only understand a little Mandarin but when she
graduated from her K3 class, she is now a fluent speaker
in both Mandarin and English.
Sabrina is studying K2 class and she is 5 years old now,
she likes to sing and dance at home what she learns from
the kindergarten. She speaks a lot in both English and Mandarin.
She goes to school everyday with a sunshine smile. She will
continue to study here until K3 because I cannot find a
reason why I have to change.
Karen and her former classmates have all entered in very
popular local and international schools; very often they
will go back Tutor Time® and visit the teachers where they
feel like going back home. Very special thanks to all the
teachers and staff in Tutor Time® who runs the kindergarten
so terrific!

“Where are my teachers......are they in the classrooms?”
Nurturing is a very unique form of Art. It involves the experience of
accommodating one’s feelings and caring for one’s needs. It is all about
nourishment, development, encouragement and compliments.
We are so blessed to have Jonathan and Jerald to be our models of giftedness
and talent. They enjoy their experiences of receiving a kind of fun-filled
learning within a cheerful, inspirational, respectful and gracious
environment. We believe that the mission of Tutor Time is the best
nourishment for our children. Its diverse and motivational curriculum helps
our children develop their learning abilities and enhances their holistic
development physically, cognitively, mentally and culturally.
With all the best wishes to Tutor Time for continuing practicing this unique
form of Art.
