Tutor
Times Toddler Activity Group
is designed for children between one and two years of age. Since
these young children are by nature explorers, the Toddler room
allows your child a warm, safe environment to investigate and
learn from. Activities are designed to improve large muscle
development, balance and coordination in a safe manner. Children
in this age group are striving for independence and self esteem.
Experiencing new activities and successfully completing a task
is very important to them. Since the children learn through
play, this room has an ample supply of equipment and space to
accommodate these active learners. Learning materials include
age appropriate puzzles, games, nesting cups, storybooks, puppets,
art supplies, music, foam blocks, and more. Our staff completes
a daily communicator that goes home to the parent each day and
offers a comprehensive record of your childs day and activities
in the program. I n
addition, through our weekly focus on Self Help Skills, the
Toddler children participate in valuable experiences that help
them gain more independence. They explore new tasks that refine
eye-hand coordination, fine and gross motor development and
problem solving.
Our toddlers engage in fun-filled
learning activities each day, such as:
| |
- Puzzles, Table
Toys and small blocks
- Gross motor activities,
such as climbing, two hand throwing
- Ball throwing
and balancing activities
- Fingerplays, storytime,
rhymes and songs
