Tutor
Time International Nursery & Kindergarten believes that
each child is unique and experiences different ages and stages
of development. Our curriculums focus is to give each
child the foundation necessary for understanding basic math,
reading, writing and language skills. The curriculum is provided
to the school each month from a team of early childhood experts
from Tutor Times headquarters in the United States of
America and follows the guidelines and recommendations of the
National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Recognizing the multi-lingual culture of Hong Kong, our classes
are taught using English and Mandarin by native speaking teachers.

Children
are encouraged to explore and problem solve as they learn and
master new concepts in Tutor Times Prepared Readiness
Educational Program (P.R.E.P.). We incorporate fun and games
to make this process enjoyable for our children. They learn
numbers, shapes and counting skills using our Tutor Time
Math Magic approach. We introduce children to the important
connection between oral language and the written word through
our Tutor Time Phonics Express program that includes
special books, cassettes and songbooks. Our Tutor Time Handwriting
Helpers stimulate learning through specific exercises that
aid small muscle development in the childs hands and fingers.
The school provides each child with P.R.E.P I & II Concept
Books that give parents concrete examples of what your child
is learning at school, and also gives parents materials the
child can continue to use while at home. Each child creates
their own Student Journal, which contains their artwork,
writing samples and a record of their ability to recognize words
while they attend school. Tutor Times curriculum also
devotes attention to the areas of Science, Art, Dramatic Play
and Computer Learning so that each child has a well-rounded
exposure to the world of learning. |

Tutor
Time is committed to the
fulfillment of every childs learning potential. Our
P.R.E.P. Program is specially designed for 3, 4 and
5 year olds. It is an innovative approach that provides a
balanced preschool curriculum combining developmentally appropriate
practices and traditional learning techniques.
What are our goals as educators
of young children?
We plan learning activities so that all students participate
to the fullest extent possible, individually or in small groups.
Certified teachers are selected because of their understanding
of developmentally appropriate practices and can use "teachable
moments" to integrate childrens learning whenever
possible. Learning environments promote open-ended discovery,
investigation, exploration and experimentation. A multicultural
and anti-biased approach integrates into all aspects of curriculum
planning to enhance our students self esteem.
